Welding Rod in PVDF LF black

PVDF is a fluoropolymer for chemicals, related to PTFE plastic but with one decisive difference: it can be welded, glued and machined like an ordinary engineering plastic. That is why whole tanks, vessels and pipe systems can be built in one and the same material, where PVDF takes the aggressive chemistry and is joined together on site.

This is welding rod in PVDF LF in black. LF means the material is electrically conductive and leads static electricity away, unlike the ordinary PVDF grade, which insulates. The rod joins the conductive PVDF grade in tanks and vessels where static build-up has to be led away, for example when handling flammable liquids. The conductive grade is somewhat more sensitive to impact in the cold than the base material, with a lower notched impact strength of 6 kJ/m2, and it is not approved for food contact.
