PP-H AlphaPlus is a nucleated polypropylene homopolymer. AlphaPlus means with an alpha nucleator, an additive that gives a more even crystal structure and better dimensional stability. The material is stiffer than standard PP-H and takes 20 degrees more heat.

The density is 0.91 g/cm³, the tensile modulus 1700 MPa and the yield strength 33 MPa. The elongation at yield is 8 percent and the notched Charpy impact strength 9 kJ/m². Shore D is 72. The temperature range is 0 to +120 °C in short term testing.

The building fire class is B2 and the material is approved for direct food contact. The surface resistivity is very high.

AlphaPlus suits structural parts where stiffness and dimensional stability under load matter more than maximum impact strength. The material is machined like ordinary PP-H.

Thanks to the more even crystal structure the sheets warp less during sawing and milling. Weld with hot air or a welding rod as for standard PP.
