Sheet in PPSU 3000x620 mm black

PPSU, that is polyphenylsulfone, is a high temperature plastic for healthcare and process industry. The material is amorphous and therefore has no melting point, but it takes 170 degrees in continuous operation and 210 degrees for short periods. What makes PPSU special is that it takes being autoclaved over and over again, that is steam sterilized under pressure, without cracking, and it also handles gamma and X-ray sterilization. The material is also really tough, with a notched impact strength of 12 kJ/m2, roughly three times as much as the stiffer polysulfone. The density is 1.30 and a tensile strength of 79 MPa makes it dimensionally stable. It burns slowly and self-extinguishes, rated UL 94 V-0 without flame retardant additives.

The format is a long, narrow sheet that suits cutting up into instrument trays, sterilization baskets and machined parts for healthcare equipment.
