The material suits milled out case inserts, tool inlays, sealing strips, gaskets and packaging for sensitive goods.
Duraten 28 Lam is a cross-linked foam plastic in polyethylene, a closed cell PE foam supplied as sheet. The cross-linking binds the cells harder than in ordinary foam plastic, which gives a dry, firm and dimensionally stable material.
The same material often goes under the name Alveo NA 36, and Duraten 28 Lam has the same dry, rough surface and closed cells that shut out moisture. Lam is a laminated grade built up from thin layers.
