The series covers tube diameters from 19 to 28 mm in five versions: 19, 20, 22, 25 and 28 mm. Each version is also matched to the wall thickness of the tube, between 1.0 and 2.0 mm depending on size, since it is the inside dimension of the tube that decides how well the mount grips. The base plate has a diameter of 25 mm and the total length is 24.5 mm whatever the version. In other words you get the same floor contact and the same added height throughout the series, which helps when one and the same furniture series mixes several tube sizes.
PA6 is a tough engineering plastic with good impact resistance and wear resistance. The material takes repeated changes in load without cracking, and the matte black surface is colored right through so that scratches barely show. PA6 also handles ordinary cleaning agents, which matters in public spaces where furniture is wiped down often. Compared with feet in a soft rubber compound, a foot in PA6 keeps its shape under load; it is not squashed and does not start to wander when the furniture is loaded unevenly.
Articulated feet also make a difference to the noise level. When a chair leg with a fixed foot is dragged across the floor the edge jumps and creates that scraping sound anyone who has spent time in a school dining hall recognizes; an articulated foot with full contact slides evenly and quietly. In rooms with many pieces of furniture, dining halls, waiting rooms, auditoriums, the sum of small improvements per leg becomes clearly audible. At the same time floor maintenance goes down, since the point loading that digs grooves into soft floor materials disappears.
Measure the outside diameter and wall thickness of the tube before you choose a version; a foot intended for 1.5 to 2.0 mm wall sits loose in tube with a thinner wall. Fitting is a simple press fit, by hand or with a rubber mallet, and the foot can be pulled out and replaced without machine tools. That makes the series useful not only in new production but also when refurbishing existing furniture, where worn out feet are replaced one leg at a time.
The feet are supplied with 100 pieces per pack, a level that suits both series production and the maintenance store. Complete dimensions per version are in the manufacturer's data sheet, and the list of variants here on the page shows exactly which combinations of tube diameter and wall thickness the series covers.
LG11 is an articulated furniture foot in nylon PA6 for round tube legs, with felt at the bottom. The foot is pressed into the end of the tube and the joint lets the base plate set itself to the surface; chairs, tables and frames stand steady even when the floor slopes a little or when the legs are not cut to exactly the same length.
The articulated design is the point of the series. A fixed furniture foot passes the load to whichever edge happens to touch the floor first, and that is where the wear starts. An articulated foot spreads the pressure over the whole plate instead, so that both foot and floor wear evenly. On LG11 the plate is completed with a felt sole that slides quietly across the floor and spares delicate surfaces when the furniture is dragged.
Typical users are furniture makers, joinery shops and workshops that build frames, work tables and transport racks from steel tube. We also see the feet in school furniture, conference chairs and care settings, where the legs are dragged across the floor daily and a fixed foot soon wears crooked. The felt sole makes LG11 the first choice on wooden floors, linoleum and tile, where rearranging furniture otherwise leaves marks and noise.
